Our security and data practices are designed around one principle: you should always know what we hold and why we hold it.

Data We Collect

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and payment identifiers — such as your UPI VPA or Paytm-linked number — when you register. We also log device type, IP address and session timestamps to detect unauthorised access to your account.

Cookie Use

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and preference cookies to remember your language and display settings. Analytics cookies — which you can decline — help us understand which pages are loaded most so we can improve account journeys.

Account Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes; we never hold them in plain text. All connections between your browser or app and our servers use TLS encryption. Suspicious login attempts from new devices trigger an email alert to your registered address.

Data Retention

Active account data is held as long as your account remains open. After closure, transaction records are kept for the period mandated by applicable Indian regulations, then permanently deleted. Non-transactional data such as preference settings is removed within 30 days of account closure.

Your Rights

You may request a full export of your personal data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion of data we are not legally required to retain — all through the Help Centre ticket form. We will confirm receipt and act within the timeframe set by applicable law.

Policy Changes

When we update this policy, we post the revised version here with the new effective date and send a notification to your registered email address. Continued use of your account after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Below are the data and privacy questions we receive most often from account holders in India. If your question is not covered here, raise a ticket via the Help Centre and our data team will respond within five working days.

We collect your name, mobile number, email address and, where required for payment processing, your UPI VPA or Paytm-linked identifier. We also log your IP address and device type to protect your account from unauthorised access.

Your payment references are shared only with the payment processor needed to complete your transaction — for example, the UPI or PhonePe gateway. These processors are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.

Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable Indian financial regulations after account closure. Preference and session data is deleted within 30 days of closure. Nothing is kept beyond its legally required period.
